Time goes down second by second while subtitles are on, even if the video is paused.

Plus or passes?

Does it work on iPhone?

No. CCPlay is Android only. There’s no iPhone or PC version.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Subtitles and translation need an internet connection, even for videos saved on your phone.

Which apps does it work with?

CCPlay captures the audio playing on your phone and turns it into subtitles. Allow audio capture and “display over other apps,” and the subtitle window appears over the video app you’re using.

When do my free minutes refill?

You get 10 free minutes a week. They refill every Monday at 00:00 UTC, which is Sunday evening in the Americas. Unused free minutes don’t carry over.

When does my time go down?

Second by second while subtitles are on, even if the video is paused. Time with subtitles turned off isn’t counted. If you have Plus or a pass, time is used in this order: Plus → pass → free.

Do passes expire?

No. Minutes you add with a pass stay until you use them.
